The mesa rises about 600 feet above the desert floor which creates an incredible “big sky” view of distant buttes and mountains, and an ever-changing sky, hence the name, Changing Sky Retreat. With its location on the east side of the mesa, you can welcome the sunrise as it lights up the entire horizon. During monsoon season, it’s quite common to see 3 or 4 storms moving across the valley below. All day long, multiple types of clouds simultaneously dance across the sky. With no light pollution, we truly have a dark sky dripping with the stars of many constellations, planets and of course the Milky Way.
